JOSHUA WARD knows what it feels like to struggle with identity, adversity, and decisions that can change the direction of a person's life—because he lived it.
Growing up in a low social economic single-parent home without knowing his father, Joshua experienced challenges that many young people face but few are willing to talk about. His childhood journey took him through juvenile detention, foster care, mental health institutions, seclusion rooms, addiction, identity struggles, and academic challenges. At one point, his circumstances seemed to be writing the story of his future for him.
Today, Joshua Ward is a professional inspirational speaker, licensed social worker, mental health consultant, and leadership advocate who has dedicated his work to helping youth recognize the possibilities that exist beyond their current circumstances.
With two bachelor's degrees and two master's degrees, and more than seven years of service in youth community outreach, clinical expertise and experience in positions of leadership. Using the TRIPLE P framework, that gave him the foundation to transform his life, Joshua now teaches youth the practical principles that will help them discover their purpose, potential and power to pursue bigger goals.
Growing up without his father, he made a commitment that his own children would experience something different. Joshua has been married for 10 years to his wife Nichelle whom he has two sons - Emmanuel and Eliam, Joshua considers been a present husband and father his greatest leadership responsibility.
His life is living proof that transformation is possible. That is why Joshua partners with schools, educational organizations, athletic programs, youth organizations, and community leaders to reach minds, challenge perspectives, inspire action, and help the next generation become the leaders they were created to be.
